In addition to recording over a thousand radio broadcasts, Reagan also cut numerous promotional spots to advertise the show. These would were included on the records or tapes that were sent to the radio stations, which would then isolate them and add them into their commercial lineup.
When purchasing recordings from the Hoover Institution, you are, in essence, purchasing one of these records in its entirety, including any promos.
