In a Reagan Radio broadcast in produced in November of 1976, Reagan spends most of his time quoting a 1931 speech by President Herbert Hoover. The transcript of this broadcast makes it appear as though Reagan is reading a continuous section of the speech. Inspecting a transcript of the Hoover speech, there are sections missing and minor adjustments to the language. Hoover's America Plan, Further Analysis
In a Reagan Radio broadcast in produced in November of 1976, Reagan spends most of his time quoting a 1931 speech by President Herbert Hoover. The transcript of this broadcast makes it appear as though Reagan is reading a continuous section of the speech. Inspecting a transcript of the Hoover speech, there are sections missing and minor adjustments to the language. As I have done in similar circumstances (podcast episode 21 and Reagan appears with Johnny Carson, I will attempt to highlight the missing sections and differences side-by-side.
